MATC is proud to honor those students who have completed their programs. Each year, MATC holds a graduation ceremony in May for students who have finished all academic and skill competencies. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate with the student.
How do I know if I am graduating?
It is the student’s responsibility to check with their instructor by May 10, 2016 to determine if they are on track to finish the requirements for completion before attending the graduation ceremony.
Students who have completed or are on track to complete their program before August 1, 2016 are invited to be part of the MATC 2016 May Graduation Ceremony.
Once a student’s name has been submitted as a potential graduate, the student should receive an email and/or mailed postcard reminder about the graduation ceremony with detailed event information.
It is important for students to update any changes to personal information (i.e. email, address, phone number, etc.) throughout the year with student services so invitations and information reach the desired recipient.
Graduation Gown / Cords Requirements and Costs:
Students’ program fees, paid at the time of registration, cover the cost of the gown and cords needed for graduation. There will be no additional charge when students pick up their gown and cords.
For students, all Graduation Ceremonies will be best dress and students will be required to wear a gown and cords over their personal clothing. No student will be allowed to walk at the Graduation Ceremony without the MATC Graduation Gown and College Cords. Attendance at the ceremony is required in order to receive an MATC certificate cover.
Students will pick up their gown and cords on the night of the event, after signing in.
If a student wishes to obtain more information about graduation he/she should first speak with their instructor and then contact MATC at 801-753-6282 or go to a MATC Student Services location.
Family and Friends Information:
Non-students, other guests, will be able to take their seats upon arrival. Seats are first-come first-serve. We ask that you please be courteous to others as you wait for the graduation ceremony to start.
We highly encourage and welcome all supporting family and friends of our graduating students to attend these events; however, we do ask that family and friends who come to show support, also show respect for the other students. We ask that everyone stay for the full length of the program and follow all instructions of the night. We wish every student to be acknowledged in the same respectful environment as the next with as few distractions as possible.
